When we are not willing to forgive we certainly cannot move any further in our chrisitian life than we are at the present time. You see, unforgiveness demolishes the bridge that we must cross over to grow in our spiritual life.

As God grows us it is amazing how much he does trust us in our situations. When peter was being sifted like wheat by Satan, Jesus simply said to Peter,”I will pray for you that your faith fails not.”

We only go through life one time, why not take a little time to enjoy the journey.

It still takes time to be holy. Sometimes we need to stop the treadmill that we find ourselves on day in and day out. We need to take time to be with God. Learn to pause or to tarry for a time.

Someone has said that the violinist knows that he must not keep his bow taut, so he loosens it after each performance. No wonder we produce discord when we keep our lives stretched so tight.

We hear a sermon, maybe we jot it down in our notes, or place it in our heads but we never assimilate it into our hearts. From out of the heart comes the issues of life. Let’s take time today to assimilate the word.
